26.What experience would you love to do all over again?
i’d love to do atlanta again. i wouldn’t like the flying there, though. but i’d like to visit again and see more of the city–see things i didn’t get to see and stay longer at things we did go to. i felt like it was a rush, and i didn’t get to fully enjoy the whole experience. i didn’t even get to see my uncle who lives in atlanta! so if i could do it all over again, i’d have tried to spend more time doing other things.

27.What was the best gift you received?
i got some nice jewelry for my birthday. some people are so thoughtful. ♡

28.How did your overall outlook on life evolve?
oh gosh. i got more depressed. talk about midlife crisis. i hit it full swing. it got especially depressing when i was waiting for my biopsy results. i just realized how short life is and how much i’d miss when i go.

29.What was the biggest problem you solved?
i think those are more work-related? had to juggle some things around to make everything fit, but i think i did it okay.

30.What was the funniest moment of your year, one that still makes it hard not to burst out laughing when you think about it?
when i think of how my sisters and i used to hang out, it makes me laugh because we share so many laughs together. however, that didn’t happen at all this past year so…hmm. there was a funny moment that happened at work that still makes me chuckle. kids do say the darnedest things.

31.What purchase turned out to be the best decision ever?
did i make any significant purchases this past year? hmm. i can’t think of any.

32.What one thing would you do differently and why?
i would like to say i would not have worried as much as i did but i don’t think that’s possible. i think i would have been more persistent with my heart problems.

33.What do you deserve a pat on the back for?
i’ve tried to help our newbies out a lot…it’s not a role i’m used to stepping in, but i’ve tried to step forward and lead, as much as i could without being pushy about it.

34.What activities made you lose track of time?
oh gosh. this. anytime i’m on my laptop browsing the internet i lose so much time.

35.What did you think about more than anything else?
sorry to be morbid, but death.

36.What topics did you most enjoy learning about?
technology and how to integrate it into the curriculum, especially using it as a tool vs as just something to keep them busy while i work with a small group.

37.What new habits did you cultivate?
i really tried to stick to my exercise routine that i’ve had in the past, pre-surgery, but it has been difficult for me to follow through. my new habit is just relaxing in bed instead. 😛

38.What advice would you give your early-2014 self if you could?
don’t take life for granted.

39.Did any parts of your self or your life do a complete 180 this year?
i guess healthwise, i thought things were looking up and i was recovering from my surgery just fine, and i thought okay, here’s the next step in improving my health…and then it all came crashing down when i faced another health scare. workwise…i went from a meek follower to still somewhat meek, but more of a leader now. not a complete 180…maybe a 45… 😀

40.What or who had the biggest positive impact on your life this year?
i think being in my new position helped…i feel like i have more authority now or something. well, at least trusted more.

41.What do you want the overarching theme for your 2015 to be?
getting better. in all aspects, from health to work to mommyhood.

42.What do you want to see, discover, explore?
i would like to discover many new things relate with work, i guess…explore. i will get to go to philadelphia this summer which would be a place i’ve never been to. heck, it’s a region i’ve never been to. if my son gets into his program, i may visit him there, as well. this spring break i’m getting to go to a summit which is exciting to me. and i get to be the lone representative to go to a conference this coming week which is also very exciting–i not only get to learn, but i get to share what i know with others. cool.

43.Who do you want to spend more time with in 2015?
family. my sister’s starting to come out of hiding a bit more and starting to hang out once again, so hopefully, there will be more of that. i know it won’t be back like how it used to, but just a fraction of that will be nice.

44.What skills do you want to learn, improve or master?
oh i’m constantly wanting to learn and improve at work. i doubt i can ever master but i know i need to keep learning to keep up with the times.

45.Which personal quality do you want to develop or strengthen?
i have super weak people skills. i hope it’ll be better the more i have to work with others.

46.What do you want your everyday life to be like?
stress-free. please!!!

47.Which habits do you want to change, cultivate or get rid of?
the lazy habit. i need to get back into exercise mode!

48.What do you want to achieve career-wise?
i want to keep improving, as i said earlier. i want to show people that i can do it, and that their trust in me was a good investment. haha. i guess i need to work on my analogies and language skills as well.

49.How do you want to remember the year 2015 when you look back on it 10/20/50 years from now?
well. as they’ll be anniversaries, i guess, i hope it’s memorable. 🙂

50.What is your number one goal for 2015?
to be healthy.

    • oh, yes! i constantly lose track of time when i’m on the internet. one thing leads to another which leads to another…so much interesting stuff out there!

  5. How sweet that you got some jewelry and unexpected things at that. And yes, stress busting just relaxing on the bed can be something much better than anything else for certain times. You’ve had a health scare, so your mind needs to unwind a little. You are sounding very UP, and forward looking. Good on ya!

    • thanks! i’m trying to be more positive in my thinking but that’s so difficult for me. it’s something i have to work on.
