friday 5: no theme

from here.

What field trips, one from elementary school and one from high school, do you remember most fondly?
well i don’t know that i’d consider a field trip–it was camp in 6th grade–but i remember it only because i got attacked by mosquitos. on our last night there, the boys had broken the punk outside our cabin and the mosquitos feasted on me. every inch of my skin that was exposed, including a thin strip on my tummy, was completely covered with mosquito bites. what a sight i was to my mom, who was waiting for me as i came off the bus, with my face swollen from mosquito bites! but all right it’s supposed to be what i remember fondly–i remember archery at camp. that was the first time i had tried it and i really liked it! i ended up taking it again in high school.

i don’t recall field trips in high school–i went on trips but it was for hula, not directly tied to high school. we did go on a bonding one at bellows but i think that was 7th grade. the only other field trips i can remember was going to the blaisdell to prepare for song contest every year, but they weren’t anything i remember fondly. oh, and in senior year, we went to baccalaureate at the church, and then to our commencement. those were pretty memorable. oh and one year i was chosen to represent our class at the mausoleum, so i went to that, too. that was pretty neat.

How does your handwriting today differ from your handwriting in high school?
i really tried to mimic my friend’s handwriting because i loved the way she wrote. but mostly, i think i write much more print nowadays than i did in high school, when it was more cursive.

What let’s-pretend game did you most enjoy when you were a child?
house. i was always playing house. i always wanted to be the mommy.

If you had to take the name of any one-named celebrity, whose would work best?

A brain, a princess, an athlete, a basket case, and a criminal: Which of these roles will you take, and which friends fill the rest?
i think people would say i was the basket case because i can get pretty emotional and worry about the most minute stuff. i don’t know that i have any friends that would fit these roles. i don’t think i have any friends, period. i’d kinda just have to be put together in a group like they all were, but they don’t really converse with each other outside, right?
