What was your first job like?
it was pretty cool. i really liked it–i worked with great people, and the work was easy. my current job is just the opposite of that. i worked in a security office, surrounded by these older men who spoiled me rotten. 🙂 i was taken out to lunch a lot, and they would always bring me back souvenirs from their trainings. they weren’t dirty old men (well, maybe they were), but instead, grateful, because i would make them look good because i would get all their reports and stuff typed up real fast and formatted really nicely. so i got treated to a lot of things. 🙂
It’s a typical Sunday, how are you spending it?
usually at work.
What was the happiest day of your life?
probably the day after i gave birth, when i finally got to hold my son in my arms. *sigh*
What was the best decision you ever made?
i guess the above–to go through with it. i was abandoned and replaced before i even knew for sure that i was pregnant, and a lot of people didn’t think i could do it all by myself, urging me to find someone else to quickly get married to to help me raise him. but i was fine. i struggle every now and then, but that’s nothing to the love i have for and from my child.
Tell your go-to “pretend” game as a child (who was your alter-ego?)
i don’t know that i had a name. but i would take the blanket my aunty had crocheted for me and i would put it at my neck, criss cross it over the front of me, and tie it in back, so i would have a little cape with the criss cross in the front. and i would either pretend i was a super hero flying or a princess with a long robe. 😛
What email service do you use?
What fandoms would you consider yourself a part of?
i don’t think any? i think lost, when it was on, but even then i wasn’t that obsessed. well. maybe i was, on a few little things. but not totally into it and writing fanfic or anything like that.
Do you use anything on your lips? (eg. Chapstick, gloss, balm, lipstick)
no. i used to love softlips, the way it made your lips sting a little when you put it on, but smelled nice, and supposedly makes your lips soft. but i haven’t used that in years.
How many devices do you own which can access the internet?
3. if you count the things i have from work, it’s 5.
Last strong smell you can remember smelling?
haha, if it was before today, it would be some awful toe jams. i just smelled this really weird, strong smell, and when i looked around, one of the kids had taken his shoes off, and then i realized what the smell was. ugh. and he wasn’t the only one! i guess because it’s been rainy lately, their feet are wet in the shoes? i don’t know. but a few of them removed their shoes and i just got a whiff. all this week it was like that! 😮 but, today, i smelled jasmine, and it was such a lovely smell. 🙂
If you had to move your birthday to another date, which one would you choose and why?
i’m kinda fond of the day it’s already on. 😛
Inspiration behind your blog title?
it just means “journal” which is kinda funny because this one is not my journal, it’s my meme site. the other one i maintain is more journaly.
If you could spend a rainy day with anyone in the world, who would you choose and why?
it would be family. i don’t know, rainy days just makes me feel cozy, and i like to stay inside, and feel cozy, and know that the rest of my family is safe, not driving out or hiking somewhere. but home, and safe. then i can sit back and enjoy the rain instead of worry.
Is there a foreign culture that you love?
the maori culture is fascinating. i have cousins who are half-maori, and i used to love just watching them interact. then you hear the singing, and see the dancing–all very interesting.
Do you have a favorite soft drink?
well, i haven’t drunk soft drinks in over 12 years, but when i did drink, my favorite was cream soda, the one that came in the bottle (didn’t taste the same in the can). i also liked the root beer that came in a glass bottle, too.
