sunday stealing: the fast dozen meme

The Fast Dozen Meme

What is the last book that you passed on to someone else to read?
beatrice doesn’t want to.

The one song you secretly or not so secretly want to sing at karaoke?
i won’t sing at karaoke! i have a terrible voice. i sing all the time but i won’t into a microphone that will blast it for all to hear! i’d rather just sing in my car with the windows up. 🙂

If you had to pick a new name for yourself, what would it be?
when i was younger i always wished i was stephanie. i just liked that name. when i got older, in high school and college, when asked my name and i didn’t want to tell my real name, i’d say i was anna. not that i liked the name, but i just thought it was what once popped into my head, and i’ve used it ever since. sometimes i still say it’s anna just because my name is hard to pronounce and anna is an easy name to say. right now? hmm. i’m not sure what i would pick. but probably something less exotic and more plain and easy to say.

What do you wish your administrator or boss would notice?
that i exist. *sigh*

What is your biggest pet peeve?
loud cussing.

What holds you back in pursuing your biggest dream?
i’m not good enough.

Why do you think you are a lovable person?
i don’t think that, actually. 😀

If every day had an extra hour in it, what would you do with it?
sleep!!! there’s never enough time to do that!

The last song you turned up in your car or house was?
“i think i’m paranoid.”

What is a secret talent you may have?
i don’t know that it’s so secret, but i have a talent for finding fault in everything i do. 🙂

Your favorite thing to do outside when it’s not too cold out in the winter?
i just like to be outside in the sun. i find that it rejuvenates me. i was feeling all kinds of depressed during the recent holiday season, with thoughts getting increasingly morbid, but once i stepped out into the sun, i felt so much better. then i happened to read that the sun *does* help because vitamin d helps with depression (some depression is linked to a vitamin d deficiency), so i guess i’m lucky i live somewhere sunny.

How do you respond if someone asks you an inappropriate or nosy question?
i ignore it.

  1. I’m with you about being outside and soaking up the sun. It gets so dreary here in the winter that it gets to a point where I literally crave sunlight. I already don’t absorb vitamin D well and have to take massive doses of it so dark winter days are not my friend.
