saturday 9: believe

aww, what happened to my snow? is that only for december? does snow not happen in january? boo.

Saturday 9: Believe

1) In 1998, Cher became the oldest woman to top the Billboard Hot 100 with “Believe.” She was 52 at the time. At what age do you think you did hit/will hit your prime?
24? i think it’s been all downhill since then. nah, i would say hitting 40. sigh.

2) Cher is as well known for her outrageous outfits as for her singing. What’s the latest piece of clothing you added to your wardrobe?
my dad’s wife got me a nice blue blazery thing for christmas. it’s pretty but i don’t know what i’d match it with.

3) Cher credits her unique looks to her diverse ethnicity. Her father was Armenian and her mom is English/German/Cherokee. From where did your ancestors come?
all over. i’m quite a mix. some were from asia (including the polynesian part) and some were from europe, and some are totally unknown. i wouldn’t be surprised what else i have lurking in my genes.

4) When she was a little girl, Cher produced and starred in a schoolyard production of Oklahoma. Were you involved in drama or theater in school?
hahahahahahahaha! no.

5) Cher is open about her plastic surgery, speaking freely about having had her breasts ‘done’, her nose bobbed and her teeth straightened. If you could change one physical feature about yourself, which would it be? And what would you never change, under any circumstances?
i would change my whole body. well i guess i couldn’t change my eyes, but i always thought it would be cool to have blue eyes–i guess i can do that with contacts, but the thought of having something on my eyes makes me squirm. i wouldn’t cut any bones either though, so that’s something i wouldn’t change, i guess, my skeleton. unless you could make me taller. 🙂

6) There’s a stubborn rumor, often denied, that Cher had a rib removed so that she could maintain her long and lean silhouette. What’s the most outrageous thing anyone has said of you?
i’m sure many outrageous things have been said about me, but they’re all done behind my back.

7) When she was a kid, Cher practiced her autograph. Do you have a clear, legible signature? Or is it more of a scrawl?
it depends. for work-related stuff i make it clear and legible because if there are, heaven forbid, any forgerers out there, they will forge that signature, when for my checks & credit cards it’s really a scrawl and so i’d know it was fake. yes, i’m paranoid.

8) Cher asks, “Do you believe in life after love?” Crazy Sam’s question is easier and less profound: Do you believe in luck?
no, although i guess i always do blame things on people just being lucky, and i wonder why they have all the luck. but i know it’s got nothing to do with it. it’s just the way the cards fall. or hmm does that mean luck then? hmm. making me think so early saturday morning! hmph.

9) Did you make any resolutions for 2014?
no, i didn’t. i think they should be made throughout the year–make a goal and stick to it. don’t wait until the beginning of a year! just do it.

  1. Goals year round is a good resolution!

  2. I agree that goals shouldn’t just be for the beginning of the new year–ANY time is the good time to set and work towards something positive!

  3. I like your attitude toward resolutions. Why wait for a day on the calendar to set a goal? Good thinking!

  4. How would your blazer look with black pants or skirts? How about winter white? With jeans and a jewel tone shirt or sweater?

    • Thanks! I think it will look great with black pants or skirts but not sure about the tops–most of my tops would clash with the blue. It’s a bright royal blue so with black it would look great! Thanks for the suggestions!

  5. Very much like that idea to use a good goal no matter when it comes into the vicinity. Good thoughts!

    • Thanks! Happy New Year!
