What’s something you think you could have been good at, if you’d started at a young age?
i don’t know that there’s anything i could have been good at.
What TV show’s theme song do you really like?
“where in the world is carmen san diego?”
What’s the dumbest dare you ever took, or what’s the dumbest dare you witnessed someone taking?
well i’m not really sure this counts but someone once dared me to chug a whole bottle of beer without stopping. i, of course, couldn’t do it but it was dumb of me to even get involved in their little game anyway.
What’s the most exotic thing you’ve eaten?
dragonfruit? i think.
What was the last thing you changed the batteries for?
What item in your wardrobe do you wish was better-fitting?
i guess underwear. i could get really expensive ones that would probably be a better fit but i can’t afford them.
What role in a play, musical, or television program would be a terrible fit for you but is still something you wish you could try?
being an actor would be a terrible fit and actually i don’t know that i would wish to try it. maybe if it were like a dancer in the background…
Which furnishing in your home clashes most with the others, for whatever reason?
well, my furniture is a whole mismatch of things because, again, it’s just whatever i can afford, not whatever matches. i also got a lot of furniture from other people who were giving them away free.
What item in your possession are you using for something other than its intended purpose?
i’m sure i have something but i can’t think of it right now. i’m even looking around me and can’t find anything, although i know i must have something.
What’s something others expect of you that you are just not comfortable with?
there’s a lot of work that is expected of me that i’m not comfortable with, but i guess since it’s a holiday, that’s another thing that’s uncomfortable–going to parties when i’d rather just stay home.
In The Spectacular Now, the main character is good at making everybody laugh. What social skill do you bring to a large party?
making people feel uncomfortable and bored.
In The Way Way Back, one character was supposedly there when, at the local water park, one person passed another on the huge water slide. What amazing or strange feat that everyone supposedly knows about did someone pull off in your area (or at your school)?
i really don’t know.
In Austenland, the main character spends a week in a large Victorian-era house designed for fans of Jane Austen. In what book’s setting would you love to spend a week immersed?
the magic tree house.
In The Heat, two main characters at first have great difficulty getting along personally, but they work unusually well together professionally. With whom have you had huge personal differences while still doing excellent work?
i don’t do excellent work.
In We’re the Millers, a marijuana-dealer and a reluctant stripper pose as husband and wife in order to complete a job. If you had to do the same for an undetermined length of time, who could pose as your Platonic life partner?
i guess anyone. no one wants to be my for real life partner.
How would you describe your skin?
As a teenager, what was your acne like?
i remember being a sophomore and my health teacher telling me what beautiful skin i had, so clear, whereas she, even in her 30s, still got pimples. of course, she jinxed me and after that it was so bad i had to go to the dermatologist who would painfully drain each and every one. i’d leave with tears in my eyes and spots of blood all over my face. i also had to use retin-a, which didn’t allow me to be in the sun. thankfully it cleared up by the time i was in college, which was good, because i spent a lot of time at the beach during those years.
When did you last escape something by the skin of your teeth?
i guess last week when my tires blew. i still marvel that i got home.
What most recently gave you goose bumps?
When did you last burn yourself?
it’s been a while. if anything, i burn my tongue or roof of my mouth most.
