friday 5 for may 10: a bit of knowledge

What’s something you know about constellations?
while cultures see different objects in the constellations (such as the constellation scorpio, where one sees it as a scorpion, and the other as a fishhook), castor & pollux were seen as twins both in greek/roman cultures (gemini) and in hawaiian culture (nāmāhoe).

What’s something you know about bugs?
flies taste with their feet and grasshoppers hear with their knees.

What’s something you know about a car’s engine?
don’t touch it. hee. that’s one class i regret not taking. stupid leadership.

What’s something you know about wine or beer?
they are used in cooking.

What’s something you know about the Pacific Ocean?
while all the land mass of earth can easily fit into the pacific ocean, it’s slowly shrinking each day.
