When did you last blow up a balloon?
i can’t blow balloons, so…never.
Whose house is especially well-designed for parties, and why?
my cousin’s is. the whole bottom part is wide open with lots of sofas and space, a big screen tv, and a small little kitchen area where you can get drinks or something to eat. it opens up to a patio with even more couches and a modest grassy lawn where the kids play, or like one year, my cousin’s wife was really into beanbags, and she hustled up everyone to play beanbag toss. it’s just a nice place to hang out–never gets too hot as it’s nice and breezy, and it’s where we usually congregate for parties on that side of the family.
If the party starts at seven, what time are you there?
i usually get there before seven, but i wait in my car until someone else arrives so that i don’t have to walk in by myself, especially if the hosts are not ready yet.
Who brought the best thing to your last potluck?
my uncle brought sashimi, which he liked to remind us over and over again that it was $80 for that little bit, but it was delicious.
Now that the holidays are over, what (besides a birthday) might be the next thing you celebrate in the company of others?
my nephew’s graduation. 😯
