friday5: usefulness

from july 24

What’s something in your possession that has long outlived its usefulness?

my vacuum. i was only using the hose for a while because it could get into the corners and pick up a lot of stuff, but then my hose broke. but i can’t find the front part of the vacuum so i can’t use it until i find it. it just sits there, collecting a lot of dust, since i can’t vacuum the dust away.

Who in your life has proven to be a very useful person to know?

my mom. i ask her for all kinds of advice. she has also taught me a lot of useful skills.

For group projects requiring collaborative planning and then collaborative execution, in what capacity are you most useful?

i guess for the creative artsy stuff–i’m always assigned the drawing or asked to create stuff on the computer.

What’s something someone gave you that you didn’t think much of but later became surprisingly useful?

that’s a toughie. the only thing people really give me is clothes, and, well, that use is not surprising.

What is the most useful book in your house?

my cookbooks.
