2006 in review

from here again.

My Year in Review

1. What did you do in 2006 that you’d never done before?
hmmm. several things! well the most recent thing, i guess, was making a gift for everyone in the family. usually i just concentrate on the little ones. but this year, i made something for my grandma, aunties, cousins, everyone.

2. Did you keep your new years’ resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
i don’t make resolutions on new year’s. i make them all throughout the year. gotta get better all throughout the year, not only at new year’s.

3. Did anyone close to you get married?
hmm. no, i don’t think so…yeah, none in 2006.

4. Did anyone close to you give birth?
nope. oh, well a colleague of mine did, but we’re not real close.

5. Did anyone close to you die?
no, thankfully.

6. What countries did you visit?
none 😦

7. What would you like to have in 2007 that you lacked in 2006?
heh.

8. What dates from 2006 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
since i can’t think of anything right now, probably nothing! special things were my son graduating from preschool and then him starting kindergarten…but i don’t remember the dates!

9. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
getting through another school year.

10. What was your biggest failure?
not helping some of my kids the way i should have.

11. Did you suffer illness or injury?
yes.

12. What was the best thing you bought?
well, i didn’t buy it, my sister did…but the ds was pretty cool 😉

13. Whose behavior merited celebration?
i guess my son’s. he passed a milestone and got some awards out of it, as well.

14. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?
probably our president’s.

15. Where did most of your money go?
bills, bills, bills.

16. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
summer break 😛

17. What song will always remind you of 2006?
hmmm…i don’t know?

18. Compared to this time last year, are you:
? am i what?

19. What do you wish you’d done more of?
helped out more.

20. What do you wish you’d done less of?
just laying around.

21. How will you be spending Christmas?
i spent it at my sister’s in the morning, and at my aunty’s in the evening.

22. Did you fall in love in 2006?
*sigh*

23. How many one-night stands?
wow. do people actually remember them?

24. What was your favorite TV program?
i had quite a few.

25. Do you hate anyone now that you didn’t hate this time last year?
no, i don’t think so. though i am annoyed at somone i wasn’t annoyed with at this time last year.

26. What was the best book you read?
there were quite a few! well, maybe not like the best ever, but pretty good!

27. What was your greatest musical discovery?
again, quite a few.

28. What did you want and get?
i wanted a ds, and my sister got it for me 🙂

29. What is your best memory of 2006?
my son standing up proudly with a smile so big when he won his award.

30. What was your favorite film of this year?
i hadn’t seen any films, i think. any new ones, anyway.

31. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
hmmm. what did i do? heehee. i was at my mom’s. but we didn’t go anywhere, just had some steak and shrimp, i think. yum!

32. What is the one thing that would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
getting to all my kids.

33. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2006?
nonexistent.

34. What kept you sane?
my boy. and music.

35. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
hmm…i don’t know. i was pretty caught up in the whole shiloh thing. and suri. OH! there’s someone i hate now that i didn’t hate (or at least didn’t care for) last year–her “father”.

36. What political issue stirred you the most?
the war. and i really did not like that they showed the moments before the hanging all in the newspapers. sheesh. that was just plain insensitive.

37. Who did you miss?
lots of people.

38. Who was the best new person you met?
as in face-to-face meet? probably one of the new ones.

39. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2006:
enjoy the little things.

40. Would you say that 2006 was overall a good year?
i guess?
